Council to vote on procuring roadwork material

HERMISTON – The Hermiston City Council holds its regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. today (Monday). The first item on the agenda is a presentation that will be made by Umatilla County Fire District No. 1.

The council will also consider awarding a contract to Consolidated Supply to provide all the pipings, valves, couplers, and other material for the water main replacement at North First Place. Anderson Perry Engineering suggested the project issue a procurement process for all materials prior to the bid request for the actual installation, due to supply chain issues.

Consolidated bid $244,797.60 for the job. The next closest bidder was the HD Fowler Company of Pasco. The project is planned for early 2023.
