PENDLETON – The Pendleton Development Commission meets at 6 p.m. today (Tuesday). The PDC will reconvene as the Pendleton City Council at 7 p.m. for its regular meeting.
The PDC has a relatively routine agenda. There will be a housing program update from the Greater Eastern Oregon Development Corporation. The commission will also consider awarding a second-story grant for a project at the Collins Building on Southeast Second Street.
One of the first items on the city council’s agenda is to meet the newest employees. John Honemann of Colorado is the new airport and industrial park manager, and Rocky House of Pendleton is the new facilities manager. They will be overseen by Economic Development Director Steve Chrisman.
Three public hearings are planned for the council meeting. One is for the sale of a lot at 802 SE Eighth St. The city has received an offer of $14,000 for the lot.
The other two public hearings are to bring Pendleton ordinances and codes according to new state rules and regulations. The amendments are to the unified development code and to the temporary rest on public property ordinance. Both meetings are available via Zoom. The meeting ID is 885 7628 0707, and the pass code is 912756.
