HERMISTON – The Hermiston City Council will hold a work session at 5:30 p.m. today (Monday). It will be at Columbia Basin Extracting LLC on Highway 395. That company is a producer and processor of hemp. The members will tour the facility.

The council will begin its regular meeting at 7 p.m. at the Hermiston Community Center. The councilors will consider a number of changes to the ordinance governing airport commercial businesses. That ordinance was adopted in 1977 and has seen little in the way of changes since then.

The Hermiston School District will provide the council with updates on its programs. In addition, Community Counseling Solutions will make a presentation to the council. CCS is the new mental health and addiction services provider for Umatilla County.

In addition to seats at the community center for masked individuals, the public can also watch the meeting on Hermiston’s YouTube channel.
