PENDLETON – The Pendleton Development Commission is holding a short special meeting at 6:45 p.m. today (Tuesday) to discuss amending the terms of its bank financing for urban renewal projects.
Last year the PDC approved a $10 million line of credit that would be converted into a long-term loan at the end of three years for a duration of five, 10, or 15 years. Banner Bank is now offering the commission a fourth term of 20 years.
The PDC will then adjourn as the urban renewal agency and convene as the Pendleton City Council at 7 p.m. The first item under ‘new business’ on the agenda is a report explaining the Pendleton Regional Youth Sports complex, which the Round-Up City Development Corporation is backing. Other presentations before the council include a report form the Pendleton Public Library Board of Directors and the annual report for the Pendleton Aquatic Center.
The council will also hear the annual report from the city’s safety committee. Records indicate a total of eight fire department personnel were injured last year. Two people suffered injuries at the public works shop, another two were injured at resource recovery, and one person was injured at the water treatment plant. The total of 15 injured is up slightly from 13 in 2021.
The meeting will be held in council chambers of Pendleton City Hall. It is also accessible via Zoom. The meeting ID is 837 1737 8791 and the pass code is 545667 for both meetings.
