HERMISTON – The Hermiston City Council holds its regular meeting today (Monday) at 7 p.m. at the Hermiston Community Center. One of the items on the agenda is an update to the city’s system development charges in the city code.

Significant changes were made to the system development charges this spring. This new ordinance does not impact the amounts of those changes. Assistant City Manager Mark Morgan writes that it just updates the rules for usage of the funds.

Also on the agenda, the council will be asked to approve a new ground lease at the Hermiston Airport to accommodate hangar construction for K2 Aerial Application LLC. That company has been operating from the airport for years and is now seeking to construct a hangar. The lease is for 20 years.

A limited number of chairs are available at the meeting for those wearing face coverings. The meeting is also carried live on Hermiston’s YouTube channel.
