COLLEGE PLACE – The College Place City Council will hold a special meeting tomorrow (Wednesday) at 7 p.m. to confirm Troy Rayburn as the new city administrator.
Rayburn, the former city manager of White Salmon, Washington, is anticipated to start his new position with the city of College Place by Dec. 1.
Earlier this month, Rayburn and three other finalists were formally interviewed by Mayor Norma Hernandez, department heads, and GMP Consultants, the firm who assisted the city with the recruitment of a new city administrator.
The final decision on the new city administrator was made by Mayor Hernandez, as the city operates under the strong mayor form of government.
“Troy Rayburn was the overwhelming favorite,” Mayor Norma Hernandez said.
The special meeting will be held in council chambers at College Place City Hall and can be viewed via Zoom or on the city’s YouTube channel.
