WALLA WALLA – The Walla Walla City Council unanimously accepted and approved two recommendations from the city’s hearing examiner Wednesday tied to building housing and a proposed development agreement.

The city council accepted the recommendation from the city’s hearing examiner approving the development agreement from Konen Properties LLC, for the Mill District urban planned community.

The Mill District is nearly 43 acres located near Myra Road and adjacent to Offner Road and Avery Street. Nearly 38 acres will be designated for residential use and two acres for non-residential/commercial use, including a commercial building, convenience store and fueling station. There will also be two acres of open space and a private park along Mill Creek.

One of the Mill District’s residential areas is the Equinox subdivision which includes 119 lots. During Wednesday’s city council, a recommendation from the city’s hearing examiner was also approved by the city council for that specific subdivision.
