Council appoints interim city manager

PASCO – At a special meeting Monday, the Pasco City Council appointed Deputy City Manager Adam Lincoln as interim city manager as of Nov. 1. With the retirement of City Manager Dave Zabell at the end of this month, the city council need to appoint an interim city manager until a permanent successor to Zabell is named.

Before coming to Pasco in 2020, Lincoln served as the city administrator of Pullman. Prior to that, he was the assistant to the city manager in Lakewood. For over a decade, Lincoln as worked at the federal, state, and local levels of government.

“I really appreciate the opportunity and look forward to working with all in the interim,” Lincoln told the council after his swearing-in ceremony.

The Pasco City Council is currently recruiting for Zabell’s successor. A public meet-and-greet event for the announced candidates for city manager is planned for mid-November, with the city council to consider a decision on the candidates shortly after that.Photo via City of Pasco
