WALLA WALLA, Washington — A Walla Walla man who had previously been involved in a kidnapping and rape case wound up in jail again on Saturday night after firing a weapon in an apartment complex on Wednesday night.

D’Sean Marks, 26, was allegedly involved in a dispute in the 600 block of Wellington Avenue at an apartment complex, according to Walla Walla County Superior Court documents. Marks apparently used a revolver to hit a man in the back of the head and also fired the gun into the floor in a threatening manner. Another witness confirmed that Marks was in possession of the gun.

After conducting interviews, Walla Walla police eventually received a tip that Marks was also wanted on a Department of Corrections violation and was at a home in the 400 block of North Palouse Street. Marks was arrested without incident Saturday night and booked on multiple charges including: first-degree assault, third-degree assault, two different felony weapons violations, and burglary. His bond was set at $100,000.

Marks had been arrested in February 2016 in connection to a case that involved burglary, rape, kidnapping and drug charges. Marks was sentenced to four years in prison in May 2016. My Columbia Basin does not yet have information on why Marks was released early from prison.
