Confirmed & probable wolf depredations reported in Wallowa/Union counties

WALLOWA & UNION COUNTIES – ODFW have confirmed and reported probable additional wolf depredations in Wallowa and Union counties respectively. The Wallowa County incident was initially investigated on July 3 and occurred in the Grossman Creek area on private land. The depredation resulted in the death of a single 4-month-old calf and has been attributed (confirmed) to the Wildcat pack.

The Union County incident was also initially investigated on July 3 and occurred in the Gordon Creek area on private land. The depredation resulted in the death of a single 3-month-old lamb and has been attributed (though only as probable) to the Balloon Tree Pack
