WALLOWA COUNTY – (Information form the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife) ODFW have confirmed a new wolf depredation in Wallowa County. The incident occurred on private land in the Noregaard area and was initially investigated on June 15. The incident resulted in the death of a single five-month-old-calf and is confirmed to have been caused by the Wildcat Pack. In addition, ODFW also investigated a possible wolf depredation on June 16. This incident also occurred in Wallowa County on private land in the Noregaard area and resulted in two dead calves. The incident has not been attributed to any pack at this time, with one death being listed as “other” and the second one as “possible/unknown.”
