LA GRANDE – (Release from Union County Community Connection) The Union County Senior Center will be able to kickstart the first phase of a larger safety improvement project with a $30,000.00 grant from the Wildhorse Foundation.
The grant will cover a large portion of the cost to repave the front portion of the parking lot. The parking lot has significantly deteriorated over the years and has not been re-done since the building was constructed around 40 years ago. Future exterior safety improvement projects will include repaving additional areas of the surrounding lot, replacing sidewalks around the building, and increasing lighting.
