WALLA WALLA – The Walla Walla County Board of Commissioners meets at 10 a.m. today (Monday). One of the items on the agenda calls for the board to schedule a public hearing on Jan. 25 on either extending or amending the zoning ordinance that governs the maximum density for mobile and manufactured homes in the Burbank residential district.
The board has extended the ordinance in the past, citing COVID-19 restrictions from allowing enough public input. The hearing will be on whether to extend it again with public hearings on the changes to be held in March and April. The current extension ends Jan.28.
The board will formally establish the commissioners’ committee assignments for 2021 and make reappointments to the Walla Walla County Solid Waste Advisory Committee.
The virtual meeting is streamed live on the Board of Commissioners page of the Walla Walla County website.
