WALLA WALLA – The Walla Walla County Board of Commissioners will meet today at 10 a.m. The board will consider resolutions initiating two county road projects.
The first resolution is for Lyons Ferry Road. The $2.9 million project from milepost 0.20 to 2.81 will involve widening the road and realigning two sharp curves to improve safety, according to Walla Walla County Public Works Engineering and Construction Chief Seth Walker.
The second resolution is for a portion of Old Highway 12 from milepost 1.20 to 1.30 which will cost an estimated $175,000.
“This project will restore bank protection that was damaged during the 2020 flooding in the vicinity of a retaining wall,” Walker explained.
