CANYON CITY – Yesterday, Governor Kate Brown signed the redistricting bills passed by the Oregon Legislature into law. A new congressional seat meant re-drawing the lines, and adopting new congressional and legislative maps. At the most recent Grant County Court meeting, Commissioner Sam Palmer said that earlier in the month he testified on redistricting:
“I met with Representative Owens in regards to redistricting, and later I testified via phone on redistricting for Senate and House and congressional seats.”
September 27th, 2021 was the deadline for the Legislature to complete redistricting plans.
