BAKER COUNTY – Sunday morning I-84 was closed for a time at milepost 342, near Lime when a Commercial Motor vehicle lost control while negotiating a curve on the icy roadway. The Commercial Motor Vehicle left the roadway and down a steep embankment and came to rest with the trailer partially blocking one lane. The crash induced a chain reaction when multiple vehicles crashes occurred. After Oregon State Police and the Oregon Department of Transportation arrived another vehicle lost control and crashed into the ODOT snowplow. Multiple vehicles were damaged with several vehicles needing to be towed from the scene. There were minor injuries from the occupants of the vehicles including the driver of the CMV. An estimated 150 gallons of diesel spilled from the crashed Commercial Motor Vehicle which was being cleaned up on Monday. (Photo Credit: Vince Holtz)
