COLLEGE PLACE – The city of College Place has announced Southwest First Street will be completely rebuilt this summer as wastewater lift station no. 5 will be replaced and relocated from its current location.
The $3 million project will move the lift station to its own building just down the street from its current location. City staff adds the current lift station configuration and location violates state wastewater rules.
Apollo Construction was just awarded the contract for the project which includes replacing the wastewater line going to the lift station, plus new pavement, new sidewalk and all new underground utilities on Southwest First Street from Academy Way to Davis Avenue.
The project is expected to start next month.
