COLLEGE PLACE – The College Place City Council approved Tuesday a contract amendment with JUB Engineers for a new million-gallon water tank and transmission main. The total cost increased from just over $1 million to just over $2 million. The project received state funding for design and construction.
JUB Engineers has divided the project into three parts: Project No. 1 focuses on part of the transmission main related to the Mojonnier Road reconstruction project. Project No. 2 involves the transmission main outside that project, but it still leads to the new reservoir site on Owens Road. Project No. 3 is the construction of the water tower.
The contract amendment includes added costs for landscape design, construction services for projects, and cultural monitoring.
Project No. 2 is set to be bid in early 2026.
