LA GRANDE – The Union County Warming Station in La Grande has been busy the last couple of nights as the cold weather sets in. According to the staff meals are served to approximately 19 guests with nine spending the night on a daily basis. The warming station can house 18 overnight guests at one time. To keep incompliance with Public Health the staff and guests are screened due to COVID restrictions. The staff has been working around the clock with limited volunteers. The acting chair said, if anyone is interested in volunteering, they are invited to contact the Union County Warming Station.
