Code Violations actively enforced in the City of Burns

BURNS – (Information from the City of Burns) The City of Burns is actively enforcing City Code Violations. Most citizens can initially expect a warning for violations, as our goal is to seek voluntary compliance for violations. Repeated violations will result in citations, fines, abatement, etc. depending on the severity of the violation and frequency.

Today, numerous warnings were issued for parking of trailers, motorhomes, vehicles, etc. that were/are illegally parked. In many cases, these vehicles are parked on our city sidewalks. Some violators came to city hall today to express their disgust at not being allowed to park on sidewalks any longer. These violators stated that no one walks on the sidewalks anyways. Well, if we may provide some food for thought… if you’re parked on the sidewalk, how can a pedestrian walk on it?
