Clash at the Border deadline is coming near

PENDLETON – The Clash at the Border, an AAU youth basketball tournament, will be held on Jan. 25-26 in Pendleton. The deadline to register for $300 is Jan. 15. After that, the cost of registration if vacancies remain is $350.

The teams are divided by grade for grades 3-8. There are girls’ and boys’ divisions. The popular tournament is a state qualifier for teams from Oregon and Washington state. In Oregon, the 2025 Oregon Middle School Basketball Championship tournaments are held in March in Central Oregon. The qualifiers will be the teams that finish first or second in their divisions.

A minimum of four games is guaranteed. There will be seven-minute quarters, with a guarantee of a five-minute warmup period before each game. All participants must be members of the American Athletic Union.
