City to host live virtual meeting on Northern Baker Transportation Improvement

BAKER CITY – (Release from Baker City Public Works) The Northern Baker Transportation Improvement Plan is underway and the community is invited to a live virtual public meeting on January 27, 2021 beginning at 6:00 pm. The project team will present project information and take questions and comments from the public. 

5:45 p.m. – Meeting opens 

6:00 p.m. – Welcome 

6:10 p.m. – Project presentation 

6:30 p.m. – Questions and comments from the public  

The public can access the public meeting via a link on the project website:  

www.bakercity.com/2289/NBTIP. The website will also host a project online open house from January 25 through February 5, where the public can view materials and make comments at their convenience.  

The project will consider roadway improvement concepts on 10th Street, Hughes Lane, and Cedar Street to increase safety and plan for sustainable economic growth. The plan will consider concept designs that address current and future needs of these important roadways. 

The project kicked off in fall 2020 and is anticipated to be complete in fall 2021.
