City of Walla Walla begins operation of golf course

WALLA WALLA – The Walla Walla Parks and Recreation Department has resumed operation of Veterans Memorial Golf Course, as of Monday, taking it over from private for-profit operators since 2014, and previously from 1996 to May 2013.

The change is expected to improve service to the local golf community, and improve upkeep, plus add more resources to upgrade the grounds and facilities.

One immediate benefit is tee times can be booked at https://www.wallawallawa.gov/government/parks-and-recreation/veterans-memorial-golf-course

Passholders for 2025 are not required to renew their membership until Jan. 1, 2026. When passholders come to the golf course, membership will be verified and passholders’ legacy membership will be added to their accounts.
