City of Vale locks public brush pit following misuse

VALE — Officials with the City of Vale have issued a public notice regarding the city’s debris burn piles. Read the city’s message below:

The City brush pit is for natural yard debris ONLY, including branches, leaves, grass clippings, and other natural vegetation. No construction materials, household garbage, furniture, appliances, or other waste may be disposed of at the brush pit.
Unfortunately, due to repeated misuse and illegal dumping, the City is going to keep the brush pit locked. Residents who wish to use to brush pit can check out a key at City Hall during regular business hours.
