ONTARIO — There’s nothing quite like a good shade tree in Eastern Oregon on a hot summer day. Folks in Ontario are looking to improve their city’s tree canopy. The City of Ontario reports officials are, “in the process of developing a Greenspace Master Plan which will evaluate the City’s current tree canopy, develop goals and strategies for improving its future tree canopy, and provide recommendations for implementation of new tree planting.”

City of Ontario personnel are currently seeking public feedback through a survey available on their website. They noted, “Your responses will remain confidential and will only be used for influencing the goals and objectives of the Greenspace Master Plan.”

We’ll provide updates on the Greenspace Master Plan as they develop.
