HINES (Released from the City of Hines)-The City of Hines is committed to maintaining safe, welcoming, and family-friendly public spaces for all residents and visitors. Recent incidents of inappropriate behavior and damage to the newly installed playground equipment at the city park will not be tolerated.
City officials have received reports of vandalism and misconduct occurring within the park. These incidents have been formally reported to law enforcement, and an active investigation is currently underway.
The City would like to remind the public that surveillance cameras are installed throughout the park. Individuals involved in these activities will be identified and held accountable. Upon identification, those responsible—regardless of age—will be issued trespass notices prohibiting access to the park for a designated period of time.
If this behavior continues, the City will pursue further consequences to the fullest extent allowed by law.
Our parks are a place for families, children, and community members to gather and enjoy a safe environment. Damage to public property and disruptive behavior takes away from the entire community, and we will take appropriate action to protect these shared spaces.
The City encourages anyone with information related to these incidents to contact the Hines Police Department, Harney County Dispatch at (541) 573-6156.
We appreciate the community’s cooperation in helping us preserve and protect our public spaces.
