ELGIN – (Release from the City of Elgin) The City Council of Elgin, in a Special Session held at Elgin City Hall on February 19, 2024, voted unanimously to appoint Alex McHaddad as the City’s new Pro-Tem Administrator.
A graduate of Eastern Oregon University (EOU), Alex McHaddad brings youth, enthusiasm, and a background in politics and public service to his new role. Currently serving as the City Administrator for Sodaville, OR, McHaddad has demonstrated his capabilities in driving positive change and fostering community development.
Expressing his anticipation for the opportunity, Alex McHaddad stated, “I look forward to serving the Jewel of the Blue Mountains,” reflecting his eagerness to contribute to the ongoing progress and prosperity of Elgin.
Mayor Johnson, echoing the sentiments of the Council and the community, affirmed his confidence in McHaddad’s ability to excel in his new position. “As always, I will continue to serve you to the best of my ability,” Mayor Johnson assured.
Alex McHaddad is scheduled to commence his duties with the City of Elgin on April 1, 2024.
