DAYVILLE – In an update on the City of Dayville’s wastewater violations, city staff has informed the Elkhorn Media Group newsroom that they’re working to make things right and hopefully avoid the $12,600 penalty set in place by the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality.
Dayville City Recorder Cheyenne Clark said, “The City of Dayville is working closely with DEQ to resolve these past violations as well as preventing them from happening in the future.”
The DEQ originally reported that the city has exceeded the permitted effluent limits, submitted incomplete and inaccurate monitoring reports, and failed to conduct required monitoring.
