City of Burns has a new Mayor

BURNS-Mayor Hoke was sworn in last night as Burns Mayor.
Mayor Brad Erbe resigned at the end of the meeting on May 13, 2026. Last night, May 27, 2026, at Burns City council meeting, the City Council recognized his resignation. Councilor Jen Hoke filled the mayor position as per provisions of the Burns City Charter which means the Board Chairman fills the mayor vacancy.
