PENDLETON – Pendleton Public Works Director Bob Patterson says the city hopes to see a local improvement district formed in an effort to bring former county roads up to city standards. This neighborhood is Southwest Hailey from 30th to 37th streets and from Southwest Hailey to Jay.

“We need to reach out and see what we can do with that neighborhood to help pay for the improvements that need to be done,” he said.

Under the LID Patterson says will be proposed it would only have adjacent property owners pay for non-pavement improvements.

“They were county roads,” Patterson said of the streets. “They don’t have curb, gutter, and drainage.”

He said that with a LID, construction could be scheduled for the 2022 season.
