PRAIRIE CITY – City Hall in Prairie City could be undergoing renovations soon. Mayor Scott Officer said he’d like to see the work get done this fiscal year:
“It’s been in the budget for a couple of years, and we didn’t get to it. I want it done this year, as we [have] the money in there to do a little bit of a facelift at City Hall.
[We need to] replace the carpet. We had a little flood in there about three or four years ago from the broken water pipe. There are some spots [where] the subfloor needs replaced. When ODOT comes through–we have money—when thy are doing their stuff with the concrete, we’re going to go ahead and try to redo our ramps and stuff in the front.”
