JOHN DAY, PRAIRIE CITY AND HINES(Released by the U.S. Forest Service)-Christmas tree permits are available to purchase through any Malheur National Forest office or online at Recreation.gov.

โ€œNational forests are full of beautiful landscapes that offer memorable experiences for all,โ€ said USDA Forest Service Chief Randy Moore. โ€œExperiences become memories that last through generations, and exploring a national forest to select a tree that becomes the centerpiece for the holiday season creates a connection between the forest and a familyโ€™s story.โ€

To purchase a Christmas tree permit, visit one of the Malheur National Forest offices or one of this yearโ€™s Christmas Tree permit vendors:

ยท        Riley Store, Riley

ยท        Reidโ€™s Market, Burns
