DAYVILLE – Multiple emergency resources responded yesterday to the Picture Gorge area of Grant County for a motor vehicle accident involving injury. Chip seal operations are underway in the gorge beginning at the intersection with Highway 19. No details have been released regarding the accident, but witnesses informed our newsroom that the crash site was not in the fresh chip seal area.
Agencies that responded to the accident include Oregon State Police, John Day Ambulance, Dayville Fire, ODOT and the National Park Service Law Enforcement.
Again, so motorists are aware, chip seal operations are underway in many parts of Grant County including between John Day and Mt. Vernon on Highway 26 as well as Picture Gorge.
