PENDLETON – The Pendleton Development Commission meets at 6:30 p.m. today and there’s only one item on the agenda. The Pendleton Children’s Center is proposing a change that could help the organization to construct a daycare center on Southeast Frazer Avenue in the old Pendleton Senior Center.

The group is proposing the city extend the Urban Renewal District’s boundary to encompass the children’s center property. That would, in turn, give the center the ability to apply for a grant from urban renewal funds.

After the PDC meeting, the Pendleton City Council will convene for a work session at 7 p.m. During that meeting, Public Works Director Bob Patterson will propose changes to the city’s water and sewer charges. He submitted no explanatory paperwork to be attached to the agenda item.

Both meetings are being held in the Pendleton City Council Chambers. They can also be accessed via Zoom. The meeting ID is 848 8298 2122 and the pass code is 248854.
