HERMISTON – Umatilla Chief Deputy District Attorney Jaclyn Jenkins reports that Boyd Stanley Thomas Sr. has been sentenced on two counts of first degree sex abuse (one count for each victim). Those are Measure 11 mandatory minimum sentences of 75 months each.

Jenkins said that Thomas will serve a portion of those two sentences partially concurrent. That will reach a total of 120 months of incarceration. When Thomas was arrested in Hermiston, he was 72 years old. Hermiston police launched an investigation into Thomas in late 2022 and turned the results over to the district attorney’s office.

That investigation saw his arrest in September 2023. He was originally charged with five counts of sodomy/incest and three counts of sexual abuse.
