Child injured, man jailed in Baker County single vehicle crash

BAKER CITY — A Nampa, Idaho man is in Baker County Jail on several charges following an incident on I-84 last weekend that left his 7-year-old child passenger with minor injuries.
According to the Oregon State Police, on Saturday, April 25th at approximately 1:42 a.m., a Trooper responded to the report of a single vehicle crash near milepost 318 in Baker County. It was reported that the involved driver left the scene and continued eastbound before law enforcement arrived at the scene. The vehicle was located by OSP near milepost 355, approximately 37 miles from the original crash site.
A Trooper initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and interviewed the driver, identified as Brandon Wyatt Real, 28, of Nampa, ID. A juvenile passenger was treated for minor injuries by medics before being released to their mother. Real was arrested and transported to the hospital for evaluation, before being lodged at the Baker County Jail.
Brandon Real is being held on charges of Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Reckless Driving, and Hit-and-Run with a Vehicle Causing Injury. The involved vehicle was towed from the scene.
