JOSEPH – (Release from Chief Joseph Days) Chief Joseph Days Rodeo, Inc. and their sponsors George and Beth Morris and Wrangler are proud to participate in the Tough Enough To Wear Pink (TETWP) campaign to raise money to support the fight against breast cancer. This serious disease touches many lives each year.
On Thursday of Chief Joseph Days Rodeo week, there is a 5k walk that starts and ends at the Harley Tucker Memorial Arena in Joseph, OR. All entry fees go to Wallowa Memorial Hospital for mammogram screening and to purchase related medical equipment. During the Rodeo they auctioned off a custom Pendleton Hat from Pendleton Hat Company and all the proceeds went to this fund as well. CJD is very excited to be donating $5,000 to Wallowa Memorial Hospital for 2023. Thank you to all that participated in this fundraiser.
Be sure to mark your calendars for the 2024 Miles for Mammograms Walk on July 25, 2024 at 9 am. If you can’t attend the walk but still want to make a donation to this cause please send a check to Wallowa Memorial Hospital 601 Medical Parkway Enterprise, OR 97828.
