PENDLETON – Blue Mountain Community College is the second stop on an 800-mile run by Clackamas Community College President Tim Cook. He is raising funds to support students at specific community colleges. His Run for Oregon Community College Students! leaves for Bend from the Blue Mountain Equine Center Monday at 8:30 a.m.

Anyone who wants to join on foot or by bicycle for part of the route is welcome. His Pendleton route will be from the center to the base of the BMCC hill. Cook began his run at Treasure Valley Community College in Ontario.

“This is more than a run, it’s a movement,” BMCC President Mark Browning said. “Oregon’s community colleges are lifelines for students and families across the state.”
