JOHN DAY – The Forest Service is revising land management plans for the Malheur, Umatilla, and Wallowa-Whitman National Forests.  A meeting will take place tomorrow at the Grant County Fairgrounds Pavilion beginning at 5 p.m. to accept public comment.

According to Blues Intergovernmental Councilmember and Grant County Commissioner John Rowell, this is a time for locals to weigh in on the potential changes:

“We have the draft plan online, and it’s available to you…you will be able to put a written document into the system of things that you might want to see change, or congratulate on what you see as being good. This is your time, our citizens’ time to have that input.”
