WALLA WALLA – In an effort to increase vaccinations in the local community, the Walla Walla Valley Chamber of Commerce is announcing a vaccine lottery which will run Sept. 14 through Oct. 31.
Both currently vaccinated and newly vaccinated people can enter. Prizes include at least 15 drawings of $1,000 each. Those who have been vaccinated prior to September 14 can enter to win at the Walla Walla Valley Chamber of Commerce and those who are newly vaccinated will have the opportunity to enter to win at the time of their vaccinations.
“The vaccine lottery is all about helping people to prevent deaths and hospitalizations due to COVID-19 while boosting the recovery efforts of our economy,” Chamber President and CEO Kyle Tarbet said. “We are asking the people of Walla Walla County to invest in their health and our local economy by being vaccinated. You might even win a cash prize. Local employers have generously donated to the prize pool and the chamber is excited to help facilitate the vaccine lottery.”
According to the Walla Walla County Department of Community Health, vaccination is the best tool to protect against COVID-19. To find a local vaccine clinic, visit www.covidwwc.com/clinics or get vaccinated at a local pharmacy.
