Chamber announces award finalists

PENDLETON – The Pendleton Chamber of Commerce has announced the top three finalists in several categories for the First Citizens Banquet on Jan. 28 at the Pendleton Convention Center. The winner in each category will be announced at the banquet, as will the man and woman of the year. The finalists are listed in alphabetical order.

Business of the year nominees are Hines Meat Company, Joe’s Fiesta, and Pendleton Underground Tours. Boss of the year nominees are Brooke Armstrong of Pendleton Underground Tours, Gary George of Wildhorse Resort & Casino, and Rodney and Kelli Bullington of Oregon Grain Growers Distillery.

The top three finalists for employee of the year are Francis Arnold of Pendleton Underground Tours, Dylan Smith of Blue Mountain Small Engine Repair, and Ronda Thornburg of the Pendleton School District. Nonprofit/volunteer of the year finalists are Altrusa of Pendleton, Andy VanderPlaat of Cattle Barons Weekend, and Clearview Disability Resource Center.
