UMATILLA & MORROW COUNTY – The Columbia Development Authority Board of Directors meeting on Tuesday was canceled. The CDA and interested members of the public were gathered to meet at an informational kiosk placed by the CDA inside the Oregon National Guard Raymond Rees Training Center.

A citizen raised concerns as to whether the meeting could be held under Oregon public meetings laws. The remote location, the fact that there were no restrooms there, and the decision that the meeting would not be streamed for the public unable to attend were among the reasons stated.

Executive Director Greg Smith told those gathered that the board meeting would be rescheduled. When the new meeting is on the calendar, it will be posted on the meetings page of the CDA website at Welcome to Columbia Development Authority | Columbia Development Authority.
