GRANT COUNTY – Community Counseling Solutions recently announced that Grant County will be going into a warning period regarding the recent increase in positive COVID-19 cases. In an email to our newsroom, CCS Director Kimberly Lindsay wrote, “A warning period means that you should move up in the metrics, but you get a two week ‘stay of execution’ and we will stay in the ‘Low’ level.  If our numbers go down in the next two week period, then we will get to remain in the Low level.  If our numbers stay above 30 [positive cases], we will actually go up a level.”

Lindsay provided a few dates of significance:

“March 22: Metrics levels released.

March 26: New metric level will go into effect.  However, we will get a “warning” and we will be allowed to stay  in ‘Low’ for the next two week period.

April 5th: Metrics levels released.

April 9th: New metric level will go into effect.  If our numbers went back below 30 for the two week look-back, we will stay in “Low”.  If our numbers are 30 or above, we will go into ‘Moderate.'”
