JOHN DAY – Warning Week data has been released, and according to Community Counseling Solutions Director Kimberly Lindsay, if our case counts continue to be high, Grant County will be moving to Extreme Risk. That would officially take effect next Friday. Lindsay noted that local data supports the move into Extreme. She said the local health department and hospital are seeing many positive cases and high transmission rates. Specifically, higher transmission rates in youth and more sickness.

Today, the Grant County Health Department is announcing that fourteen new individuals have been identified as positive for COVID-19 in Grant County. They reside within the John Day, Canyon City and Mt. Vernon zip codes.
