MISSION(News release from Cayuse Holdings) Cayuse Holdings (Cayuse) donated $10,000 to Nixyáawii Community School (NCS) in a presentation earlier this month during the school’s final home basketball games of the season. This contribution underscores Cayuse’s commitment to supporting local education and providing students with exceptional learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom.

Randy Willis, Cayuse CEO, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership: “At Cayuse, we believe in the power of community and education, and are dedicated to fostering learning opportunities for the youth in our area. We are delighted to contribute to the bright futures of Nixyáawii Community School’s students and are eager to see how these funds will expand their horizons.”

The funds are earmarked for a variety of educational activities that extend beyond the traditional classroom setting. Students from NCS will benefit from experiential learning opportunities, including a trip to TEDx Portland and extended summer programs that will take them to destinations such as Alaska, the east coast, Yellowstone National Park, the Oregon coast, and the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.

Ryan Heinrich, principal of Nixyáawii Community School shared his gratitude, stating, “We are incredibly thankful for Cayuse’s generosity. This donation not only enhances our ability to provide unique learning experiences but also complements our existing grants and general funds. It is opportunities like these that can truly make a difference in our students’ educational journey.”

All students at NCS will have the chance to participate in these enriching activities, thanks to the support from Cayuse. To learn more about Cayuse, visit www.cayuseholdings.com.
