Canyon City seeks candidates for mayor, 2 councilors

CANYON CITY – The Town of Canyon City is looking to elect a mayor, as well as two city councilors for the upcoming election in November. According to the town’s posting, each candidate must have been a resident of the Canyon City for a full twelve months immediately preceding the election, and also be a registered voter to qualify for the election.

Specifically, in the race for mayor, the candidates must have served as a Town of Canyon City Councilor to get their names on the ballot.

Petitions and filing forms are available at the City Hall in Canyon City. The filing deadline is August 27^th.
