Butte Creek Fire in Wheeler County grows to 3,000 acres

WHEELER COUNTY – Firefighting resources are battling a wildfire in Wheeler County that is estimated this morning to be around 3,000 acres and growing. According to information from wildcad.net, the Butte Creek Fire, near the John Day River, north of Clarno, started on Sunday, May 25^th. Wheeler County Fire & Rescue report the fire is 0% contained. More resources are expected to arrive today.
