HARNEY COUNTY-Calling all future heroes! The Burns Police Department, Hines, Police Department, and the Harney County Sheriff’s Office invite local youth to join them for a hands-on, family-friendly public safely event.
Please join the police departments for Junior Officers Day, where kids can learn about law enforcement, teamwork, and safety through interactive stations like fingerprinting, SWAT gear displays, and mock crime scene investigations.
This event will take place at the Harney County Chamber of Commerce on April 11, 2026, from 9:00am-12:00pm or 1:00pm-3:00pm. To register for one of the sessions, please call the Burns Police Department at 573.6781.
