Burns Paiute Tribe’s sewer is up and running again

HARNEY COUNTY-The City of Burns has notified the Burns Paiute Tribe that they can use their sewage system again but to please conserve! The lift station is working and the Reservation, Stanclift and Foley have working sewage so take a shower, flush a toilet, wash some dishes but go easy on the laundry.

The Burns Paiute Tribe still has laundry cards so contact Shannan or Kenneth or anyone from Social Services who may be working at the Gathering Center.

If you have any sewage issues, please contact Suzanne at 541-589-3876 and the City of Burns.

“If you see Ty Richardson (Burns Public Works Director) or any of the City Public Works guys, please sure to thank then,” says Suzanne Settle Burns Paiute Tribe Emergency Manager.

The rest of the city still isn’t up yet and it is unclear at this point when it will be.
