Burns High School Health Careers Class Visit Harney District Hospital

Burns-The Burns High School Health Careers class visited Harney District Hospital’s EMS Department on Monday, Oct. 30.
EMS Manager Cliff Stoutenburg and EMTs Stephanie Sell, Avery McKinley, and Micha Porter spoke to students about EMS careers as well as required education and training. They also provided an overview of their daily routine. They then gave students a tour of the ambulances, including a demonstration of the “jaws of life” that each unit is equipped with.
